Course Description

CACFP regulations require that all new and participating CACFP institutions meet and maintain compliance with the three Performance Standards; Financial Management and Viability, Administrative Capability, and Program Accountability. This course is designed to guide CACFP institutions to better understand the importance of the Performance Standards, the reason that they were developed, and the criteria used to determine compliance.

This training was created for all Oregon CACFP Sponsors. This includes: Family Day Care Home Sponsors, Child Care Centers, Head Start Programs, At-Risk Afterschool Programs, Adult Day Care Centers, Outside-School Hour Care Centers, and Homeless/Emergency Shelters. Some of the terminology used in this training may not be familiar to all sponsors as it is specific to certain CACFP programs. Please note: a family day care home (DCH) is referred to as a facility in this training.
